Human-sheep chimera

This news story came out at the end of last month but I can't seem to find any reputable news source reporting on it. I wonder if it's bogus or just flew in below the radar. Professor Esmail Zanjani at the University of Nevada's School of medicine has successfully created the worlds first sheep with part human organs. If it's true, it should work towards squashing those urban legends of people's organs being harvested and sold on the black market. You can find out more at CBN news

Swapped 404s

This is an April fool's joke for the truly geeky. Thegeekhouse.com swapped 404 errors so that IE browsers receive the Firefox error and vice versa. That's very cool! You can find other April Fools jokes on the urgo site. There's a link at the top to browse past years.

Police auto-scan plates

With PAGIS (Police ANPR Grapic Interface System), police officers have a new toy that reads license plates automatically while they drive. The information is uploaded to a central computer and can be used in data mining. They can determine where a car has been scanned using the gathered information. It scans 3000 to 4000 plates per shift.
