Jobs on DRM

In a public letter today, Steve Jobs said that if users don't like DRM they should turn their attention to the people who are insisting on it, the big four. If it were up to him, he would abolish it. Furthermore he says that "DRMs haven’t worked, and may never work, to halt music piracy".

It's refreshing to have the head of a company speak so frankly about his thoughts without fear of how his partners might take to it. It's nice to see that at apple the castrati aren't running the show.
