25 entry limit in Blogger atom.xml

If you use Blogger + FeedBurner to publish your podcast, you may have noticed that iTunes only lists the last 25 episodes of your show. To fix this problem, at least temporarily, change your url (Edit Feed Details) from the first URL below to the second URL below. Fill in the word YOURBLOG with the actual name of your blog. This should fix your problem without interrupting any existing subscribers. They should see the fix immediately by collapsing the tree for the podcast, right clicking on the podcast title and selecting "Update podcast". If this tip helps you out, let me know.

alt=rss&max-results=100

Of course, this is only a problem until you've posted 100 episodes of your podcast. You can enter numbers lager than 100 for max-results, but the maximum number of items returned is hard coded at 100. If you look at the RSS you'll find an opensearch element indicating the "maximum number of items that appear on one page". This number never grows beyond 100. At least, not in the tests I conducted when I posted this article.
